| Quick Start Cajun | |||||||||
| You Will Need: | |||||||||
| 1 | tsp | Old Bay Seasoning | |||||||
| 1 | tsp | Creole Seasoning | |||||||
| 1 | can | Cream of Celery Soup | |||||||
| 1/2 | can | Water | |||||||
| 1 | can | Black Eye Peas | |||||||
| 8 | ounces | Cut Okra | |||||||
| 1 | TBSP | Pimento Pepper | |||||||
| 1 | TBSP | Butter | |||||||
| Variation: Jalapeno Peppers, white or yellow rice instead of pasta. | |||||||||
| To Finish: | |||||||||
| Add Old Bay and Creole seasoning, beans, okra and pimentos into mixture, plus any | |||||||||
| variation veggies. Let simmer for 3 or 4 minutes before adding the soup and water. Stir | |||||||||
| well then reduce heat for about 5 minutes, stirring often. When mixture has thickened a | |||||||||
| little, add pasta or rice and butter. Mix well and turn heat off and let stand for 5 minutes. | |||||||||
| Serve with cornbread and iced tea. | |||||||||
